Time.ms is designed to show you the exact current time with millisecond precision. This policy explains what data we process, how it is used, and the safeguards we apply to protect your privacy.
Information We Process
We process the minimum amount of data required to provide precise time synchronization and location-aware context.
IP address and network metadata: Cloudflare provides your IP address, ASN, country, region, city, and timezone in order to calculate accurate offsets and display location context. We do not store this raw data on our servers beyond transient logs required for security.
Round-trip time metrics: The app measures request latency to compute synchronization accuracy. These measurements are displayed in your browser and are not stored with personal identifiers.
Voluntary geolocation: If you click the “Location (Device)” control, the browser may request precise coordinates. Time.ms does not receive or store those coordinates. If you then click “Load Live Map,” the coordinates are sent to Google Maps to render the optional map embed.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregated usage patterns. GA4 collects anonymized event data (device type, approximate geography, interaction events). IP addresses sent to Google Analytics are anonymized in accordance with Google’s policies. We use this information solely to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or by using built-in tracking protection in your browser.
Use of Cookies
Time.ms does not set first-party tracking cookies. Google Analytics may place cookies in accordance with Google’s policies; these cookies are used for aggregated analytics only.
Data Retention
Operational logs produced by Cloudflare expire according to Cloudflare’s applicable retention settings. We do not create additional long-term logs or databases containing personal data. Analytics reports are stored in aggregated form without precise location data.
Third-Party Services
Time.ms relies on Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Workers to serve content and provide accurate time data. Requests to Cloudflare endpoints are subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policies. When you load the optional Google Maps embed after enabling device location, Google receives the map coordinates plus device and browser metadata in accordance with its terms.
Your Choices
You can use the site without granting device geolocation permission; IP-based context will continue to function.
You may block analytics scripts with browser settings or extensions.
You may request deletion of any identifiable data that could reside in our operational logs (subject to confirmation) by contacting us.
